Paul is an experienced engineer with more than a decade of experience in the planning, policy and markets of the GB electricity transmission system. Paul's role is to undertake the future strategic planning of the GB electricity network - ensuring the transmission network meets the future network needs and a decarbonised future, which is fair, secure and sustainable.  Paul is responsible for the new Centralised Strategic Network Plan which will be a nationally important document in defining how the GB energy networks will enable net zero and is key deliverable in ensuring investment by markets parties and network owners in the right technology solutions at the right time. As part of the senior leadership team at NESO, Paul is also involved in various initiatives across regional, national and European engagement.
